for once in 9 weeks since uni started, i have free time to myself where ive got nothing i have to do at this very moment and nowhere i have to be.

it feels nice. oh so nice.

this morning, we had a kendo demo for year 10 students from many many private colleges around vic for their japanese day. was only 10 mins and it went by very quickly. all i remember is the usual laughing along with cheering (haha) and not doing my best cause of lack of space and nerves. but all in all, was a good demo. i mean, no one fell off the stage or lost their kote...so twas good. couldve been better, but good.

after that we went to shango at malvern for brunch. i had sth called the buddha's breakfast which is basically scrambled eggs with spinach and tomatoes on toasted turkish bread. was really unique and super good. service there was great as well...think cause it was just the 2 guys, the chef and the manager. they even wiped clean our chairs (we were sitting out back) and let us have some free pumpkin + other veggies soup.

shango was right behind steven's house. like if u look out his room window, u can actually see the backdoor of the shop. he says he hears the manager go in that door at 5am every morning. talk about dedication. this is the street his house is on. so pretty with the overhanging tree branches and autumn leaves and old victorian houses.

ive somehow managed to finish half my week's workload in 2 days. woohoo! now just have to study for physio and japanese tests on thursday.

speaking of japanese, i really wonder what will help me learn it faster...memorising doesnt help if my whooping score of 57.75 on the midsem is any indication. i have the idea of reading untranslated manga but i know it'll just throw me off the story if i have to check denshi jisho for every single thing.

i have not seen my high school friends for months. i want to go out but i cannot seem to find the time to because i have to travel so far away to meet them. neither have i hung out at atlantic much in the past few months. both of this, i deeply regret. only, its not by choice. sigh.

the last physio prac we did was on lung function. there were all these cool machines to use and play with that analyse breath n lung capacity and stuff. was one of the funner pracs...got to see ppl wear crazy frankenstein experiment like headgear while peddling bikes.
heres varun n bella with the funny contraptions on their head.

and the prac before this one we had a computer at our table that was pretty fucked up.

my phone, though still taking pretty good photos for a phone, is slowly dying. starting yesterday, it refused to ring or vibrate whenever ppl called or msged. i only realised this this morning when i was up to go for the demo and justine had to come up to the door and knock on it to tell me they were waiting outside. apparently they've been calling me for the past 15 mins. then i check my phone which was in my pocked (so there was no way i couldnt have NOT heard or felt it) and lo n behold 3-5 miss calls from 3 ppl and a msg that they were on their way. i switched it off and on n it worked for a bit but then its dying again......gah. i hope 3 can do sth about it. grrr.

ok. off to watch antique the movie then sleep. hot bois together in suggestive scenes. just what i need. yummy.
