today we got up early at the peak of dawn to travel all the way to the city to meet melissa (kendo senpai) who brought us to the kenshikan dojo to train with other seniors collected from all over melbourne (i think).
me and hoho and two other noobies were the only noobies there. so it was pretty much super intimidating especially they abandoned us at first cos' they had to train too and we were like lost little sheep trying to keep up. (had to do 120 suburis which was CRAZY).
but during free training, all the other senpais were really nice (and really old) and taught us so much. i now know i've been holding my stick all wrong. i can hit a good men now. i hope i don't forget.
but i nearly died passing out though when sue rogers (this really nice OLD lady) was teaching me how to grasp my stick properly and either her headgear or her hakama like dam super duper smelly. and hoho was talking to me later and i gagged just thinking about the smell. apparently, they don't wash their hakama that often (T_T) and the headgear mask thing u wear, you can't wash it at all so like. haih. dam sad. i don't want to be smelly in the future when i have to wear that.

the kenshikan dojo. it's the only proper one in the city.the floor is so nice *inserts hearts and floating signs of joy*. better than the basketball court we have to make do with every week. this one the timber like WAH so smooth so no blisters. *sugoi desu yo* there's like a manual on the noticeboard telling u how to polish its top grade urethane polished timber floor.

hoho and her schtick. waiting for training to start
no training pix though cos my camera no silent function ._.
then after the training, we hitched a ride home from joann, one of the other noobies who had a car. wa. i nearly died. and i miss my car.
she dropped us at caufield station where we got on the train back to our village :)

and there were random ppl commenting about our sticks and this guy in full length army suit passed us and said "that's not fishing rods in there, right?"
and now we're going out to the city for some korean bulgolgi *whoo* and gelato!
