woke up sat morning took a shower waited for trent.
picked up han at 2, and started the 2 hr long journey to ballarat.
was so bored in the car i started taking photos of the "scenery". or rather the sky which was the most interesting part in most of the photos. and this car which i didnt realise we were following till bunny mentioned that its in bout 8 out of 10 pictures i took.

see the car...
anyway, when we got to ballarat it was spitting. managed to find our way to the youth hostel which looked like this old tavern on the outside (but bigger) with its wooden walls n western country buildings and all. chucked our bags in the room which had 4 double decker beds each, a luggage stand, a heater which didnt really work and nth else. went out again to get stuff to make sandwiches with. bumped into yoichisenpai with his SUPER ADORABLE baby boy whos got the most hair ive ever seen on a baby's head. then walked ard town for a bit to find a place to make reservations for dinner.
ballarat on a sat afternoon after 5 is a ghost town. while we were walking (which was bout for 30 mins +) we ran into NOBODY on the streets. if it werent for the cars ud think the place suffered from a plague or sth.

exactly.
anyway, booked a table for 4 at this rest./cafe place which was empty (yea, warning bells) then went back to the hostel. basically wasted an hr just sitting n staring at each other n the ceiling. went back out again for dindin at 7.30. had the cheesiest (haha) carbonara ive ever had but twas still good :) went back again after dinner n sat ard AGAIN waiting for the rest of the club to arrive.
past 10 when we were starting to think they all got horribly lost, we got a phonecall asking us to come out onto the road to show them the way to the rooms. did that. and finally boredom stopped with 14 ppl going nuts in an entire building to ourselves.
made sandwiches (train style! toppings to wrappers to cutters to wrappers again then packers) then told ghost stories till 2am. bad idea since we had to get up at 6am.
6am came, alarm rang, bout 3 of us r out of bed, feng goes "what time isit? 6 only??? AIYAH STILL EARLY LAHHH" n goes back to sleep. by 6.45 everyones up and having breakfast. left for the rec hall where vkc was held at 7.30.
then my long long day started. basically had to do things volunteers do from when we got there till 8pm at night when the competition ended. it was so cold i could barely hold the pen to write. and by the end, my feet were so sore i can still feel the soreness today. only sat while i was recording scores and during 5-15 min breaks. sad. but as wun said, it was damn fun. cant wait till im good enough for that :P TOE HEAL FAST!
monash did well. as in, we didnt win any team events but performed well or so our seniors said ;) which is the point i guess. winner of the kyuindividuals was this guy whom bunny n i dubbed "golden thighs" because his do (armor protecting the torso) was gold in colour (THE most horrendous do ive seen in my life) and he didnt wear his uniform properly so u could see bout 2 inches of his thighs everytime he moved. so disturbing but couldnt stop laughing.
dont think he deserved the win though. blah.
anyway, after the comp ended, we had dinner at this v good indian rest (where we the only guests) and where bollywood music videos were playing on loop for the first half of dinner. it was so bad that some ppl couldnt pull their eyes away from the tv. ahhahahaa. had super good food for $15 each. then left at 10pm.
got home at 12am. was feeling so dead tired we collapsed right after showering. and i skipped monday morning's classes....though i did manage to make it for my 12pm tute :)
ahh...tsukareta. must continue work now.
upload other pics when i get them.
