will talk then pic dump because blogger always hates it when i try to upload photos and will try to screw up my post.
anyway, drove up there on thursday ard noon. checked into the motel we were gonna stay in for the next 2 days at 2 after grabbing some lunch and walking about a bit near the beach. then hung about watching movies, tv, napping till 6 when we left to watch the penguins :D:D:D
penguin place was coooolddd...prob because it started raining when we were there. sucks to get rained on but at least it stopped. and it was worth it. got to see the tiny ass penguins waddling up the beach and along the broadwalks. trent almost ran over one on his way out of the parking lot even though he says he didnt xD no photos from penguns though because they didnt allow us to take any :( i did sneak a few in of us on my phone but they asked me to put it away. boooo
after penguins trent cooked chicken parmegiana (how to spell?) for dindin. was yummmmmy even though we had some issues with the grill thingi. so had lots of cursing in the process.
friday we visited churchill island which is this little heritage island with a very old house and a pretty orchard and farmland and stuff. old house was quite creepy, think due to the olden days type of furniture and like what bunny pointed out...the furniture is all neatly made and done up and noone is living there. look at the photos to get what i mean. anyway, the orchard and gardens around it were very pretty though. even if it had confused ducks on grass instead of the water. and 2 very lost peacocks. and a 50 yr old cockatoo named george.
after churchill island we went to the nobbies which is this beach u have to walk down to on walkways with a BILLION seagulls flying around u. we walked halfway down the path and i was so worried we were gonna get pooped on. seriously. there were THAT many birds. but the beach & cliffs were really beautiful (:
saturday morning got up nice and early to check out at 10am. then visited the chocolate factory where we saw chocolate being handmade and handwrapped and where i bought aweseome milk chocolate strawberry creams, passionfruit creams and dark fruit and nut. did not think of taking photos though. was prob too distracted by the choco.....hehheh
drove home after that. got home ard 1.30pm and proceeded to doing a lot of backyard kendo for 2 hrs. i <3
